Parold is led by artists whose work crosses performance, heritage, education, authorship, and musical direction. Their backgrounds shape the spirit of every project and event.

Harold Homeboy Wilson
President

Harold "Homeboy" Wilson

Harold "Homeboy" Wilson is the founder of The Backyard Party Kings and Twilight Brass Band, and a central creative force behind Parold Entertainment Inc.

Raised in the Treme 6th Ward of New Orleans, Harold brings generations of brass band heritage into his work as a bass drummer, percussionist, entertainer, and cultural ambassador. He leads a roster of seasoned performers and has helped establish Parold as a trusted source for high-energy live entertainment.

He is a fifth-generation New Orleanian, a third-generation brass band performer, and the great-grandson of Henry Booker T. Glass, a pioneering bass drummer and founder of the first Black musician union in New Orleans.

Harold's career includes performances and collaborations with artists such as Grateful Dead, Shannon Powell, Russell Baptiste, Michael White, Zigaboo Modeliste, Dr. John, Stanton Moore, and Trombone Shorty. He is also a founding member of the Black Men of Labor Social Aid and Pleasure Club.

Parris Lane

Parris Lane

Parris Lane is a PBS Emmy-nominated actress and singer, songwriter, producer, author, and educator whose range adds depth and versatility to the Parold vision.

Her four-octave voice has taken her from Carnegie Hall to London, Paris, Geneva, Rome, and Bangkok, with performances spanning gospel, jazz, R&B, pop, classical, and musical theatre.

In addition to her performance career, Parris has produced seven CDs, written children's books, created the historical fiction music audiobook Abella, and built arts education programs through organizations such as the Smith Center for the Performing Arts and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Arts Excel Program.

She continues to expand Parold's music library while developing original writing and visual art projects rooted in African American musical culture.
